Cameraman Tower Defense: Unit Placement Guide

Last updated 2026-10-10Unofficial player article

Establish an attacking position, give each additional placement a job, and adapt a demonstrated layout to the route in your own match.

Useful Cameraman Tower Defense unit placement starts with an affordable attacker that can contribute to the opening. Place for the enemy route and the unit's job, then invest where your defense is actually stopping toilets instead of filling empty space for its own sake.

Unit Placement Guide: gameplay contextWatch an early Ninja position before building the later three-unit defense.

Establish the first working position

The three-unit demonstration opens with Ninja Cameraman and later uses Titan Cinemaman and Scientist Cameraman. The useful lesson is to establish an attacking position before trying to reproduce an entire late setup. Put the opener where it can contribute to the first enemies you need to stop.

When a placement preview shows the unit's reach, use it to compare how much of the enemy route the candidate position includes. Favor a position that helps the actual defense over a visually central spot that contributes little to the incoming wave.

Give another position a specific job

Add another attacker when it brings useful coverage or helps defeat the threat your existing position cannot handle. More towers in the same unhelpful area may repeat a coverage problem. A cash-support unit has a different job from an attacker, so do not judge its location by expected direct damage.

Keep the working opening as a reference when changing the layout. If you move several units and change the whole spending order together, it becomes difficult to know which change improved the defense.

Avoid copying a position without its context

A demonstration's position belongs to its map, units, and match plan. Use its opening logic, but do not assume a screenshot establishes universal coordinates for every map. Compare the enemy route in the match you entered before copying the rest of the arrangement.

If a defense is already attacking enemies but cannot finish them, more upgrade investment may be more useful than relocating every unit. If it is failing to contribute along the route, placement deserves attention first. Use battlefield strategy for that wider decision.

FAQ

Should I spread every unit as far apart as possible?

No. Spread should serve useful coverage; proximity alone does not establish whether the layout works.

Where can I choose a map to practice on?

The maps guide starts with Toilet City and explains why keeping the map stable helps you learn a placement plan.
